Important Update Regarding Golf Cart Operation –

According to the updated Florida statute 316.212, here are the key points you need to know:

Age Requirement: Anyone operating a golf cart on Longleaf roads and the designated multi-use path from the N5 bridge to the intersection of Dog Trot and Mizner must:

  • Under 18 years of age – have a valid learner’s driver license or valid driver license.
  • 18 years of age or older – have a valid form of government-issued photographic identification.

These changes update previous regulations that allowed drivers over 14 years of age to operate golf carts.
